We have been working for months pulling together what we think is a great faculty and brilliant schedule of activities, classes and networking opportunities for you to take your musical journey to the next level.
Join us: January 8 – 12 at Holiday Inn Midtown for the 2020 Texas Songwriter Symposium!!!
We have publishers and song pluggers, hit writers, lawyers, publicists, dream weavers and everything in-between. Here is a short list of those that have confirmed being with us this year:
Roger Allen Polson
Ruth Ellsworth Carter
We have panels, concerts, workshops, open mic, showcases, late night picking circles, one on one with publishers, one on one with a lawyer, vocal classes, writing classes of different kinds and lots of networking opportunities with songwriters and music industry professionals. All this and on Saturday we buy your lunch. I hope you can make it.
Here is a little of what we have planned:
Eliza Gilkyson – “It’s All About YOU!”
Bring your songs and your open minds – let’s see how we can make your songs the best they can be. After a brief question and answer session we will work in a circle and go around the room working on your songs, finding the places where the energy gets dropped or stuck. Group participation. Learn to self critique and support your fellow writers. All “levels of expertise“ welcome.
Eliza Gilkyson is a twice Grammy-nominated (2006/2015) folk singer/songwriter and activist who is one of the most respected musicians in Folk, Roots and Americana circles.
